M/Y Magellan, a heavy-duty displacement cruiser designed with range and endurance as top priority.  Powered by twin 225 HP John Deere engines, she is designed to cross oceans with a range of over 2500 NM at 8 kts.  In order to optimize the range and fuel economy, the hull design process included conducting a series of CFD simulations to find the most efficient bulbous bow geometry.  The vessel's accommodations are designed for world cruising in comfort, with a full beam master suite midship and a VIP suite forward.  The raised aft pilothouse affords the operator good visibility while staying protected from the elements.  There is also ample exterior area, including a flybridge with jacuzzi, sun pads, dining space, and helm station.
